Bracha Newman

Who am I?

I am a Jungian Analyst and a counsellor. I have been working psychotherapeutically with individuals for almost 20 years. I am also a supervisor for psychotherapists and counsellors.

My Qualifications

I am a UKCP registered Jungian Analyst – analytical psychologist and an accredited counsellor with the BACP. I am a senior analyst with the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists.

What is Jungian Analysis?

Jungian Analysis is a psychotherapy based on the work of Swiss Psychiatrist and Depth Psychologist, Carl Gustav Jung (1875 – 1961). The focus of this process is the exploration of the client’s psychic reality in the context of his/her life and in the service of the maturation of the personality which is called individuation. It is an approach concerned with the expression of the soul and finding underlying meaning.

Areas of Expertise

I specialise in working with people suffering with depression and anxiety, bereavement and loss, relationship issues, mid-life crises, loss of meaning and direction, low self-esteem and identity issues. I have experience of working with people of all ages including teenagers and under 25s. I also have substantial experience in abortion and post-abortion counselling.

I have supervised psychotherapists, counsellors and bereavement visitors both individually and in groups for more than 10 years.
